PLACED ON FIRST READING ~ REFERRED TO THE <br /> COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 10/5/92. <br />PLACED ON SECOND READING ON 11/16/92. <br />PLEASE SUBSTITUTE FOR ORDINANCE NO. 85-92, <br />placed on FIRST READING & REFERRED TO the <br />COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 10/5/92, and SECOND' <br />READING on 11/16/92, due to amended parking <br />schedule added on 11/24/92. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />85-92 <br /> <br />BY: Boscia, Gallagher, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE to amend the Traffic Code of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood by <br />.amending Sections 353.03, 353.07, 353.08, and 355.03 <br />relating to parking. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, development within the City, and related <br />construction, has reduced the number of parking spaces <br />available to the public, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Public Safety requires the <br />flexibility to adjust parking permit fees and meter <br />rates to insure the effectiveness of parking <br />regulations, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide Council with <br />the opportunity to review the Director's actions setting <br />parking rates and allocating off-street.parking spaces, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this ordinance constitutes an emergency <br />measure providing for the usual daily operation of a <br />municipal department in that the previous ordinance <br />setting permit fees and periods is set to expire <br />December 31v 1992; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 353.03 of the Traffic Code <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, now <br />reading as follows: <br /> <br />353.03 Parking Time Limits <br /> <br />(b) The Director of Public Safety is hereby <br />authorized and directed to establish the location <br />and time limit for the parking or standing of <br />vehicles in spaces designated within off-street <br />parking areas and spaces designated in the <br />Municipal parking garage and for each individual <br />parking meter which is installed for the control of <br />each parking space, and the amount of coin required <br />to be deposited therein. . <br /> <br />shall be and the same is hereby amended to read: <br /> <br />353.03 Parking Time Limits <br /> <br />(b) The Director of Public Safety shall, from time <br />to time, establish a Municipal Parking <br />Schedule designating: <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />the location a~d tilme limit for the <br />parking or standing of vehicles in spaces <br />designated on the streets and within <br />off-street parking areas and sp$ces, and <br /> <br /> <br />
