RESOLUTION NO. 4-569 <br /> <br />BY: Mess~s. Gaydos, Hu£fman, Kelle~ <br /> Usher, Ward, Mendling, Cain <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION declaring it necessary to improve certain <br />properties in the City of Lakewood for off-street parking of motor vehicles <br />by the acquiring of real estate, demolition of existing building%grading, <br />paving, curbing, lighting, fencing and providing drainage facilities together <br />with necessary appurtenances thereto and widening Carabel Avenue in connection <br />therewith. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by two-thirds vote of the members elected there- <br />to determines that this resolution is an emergency measure which is necessary <br />for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety <br />and for the further reason that the improvements herein provided are immedi- <br />ately necessary to eliminate existing hazards to vehicular traffic using the <br />streets of this City and conditions which could cause blight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has received a petition requesting the improve- <br />ment described in this resolution signed by all owners of property to be assessed <br />therefor; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Lakewood, <br />Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, three-fourths of all members elected thereto <br />concurring: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That it is necessary to improve in the City of Lakewood <br />the following properties: <br /> <br /> Situated in the City of Iakewood, County of Cuyahoga <br />and State of Ohio, and known as being part of Sublots Nos. <br />81, 82 and 84 in The N. F. W. Bailey Re-Subdivision of part <br />of Original Rockport Township Section No. 19, as shown <br />by the recorded plat in Vol,~me 58 of Naps, Page 23 of <br />Cuyahoga County Records, and together forming a parcel of <br />land bounded and described ~ follows~: <br /> <br /> Beginning on the Easterly side of Carabel Avenue, at <br />the Southwesterly corner of Sublot No. 84; thence Northerly <br />along the Easterly side of Carabel Avenue~ 40 feet to the <br />Southwesterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to The <br />Cleveland Trust Company by deed dated June 5, 1939 and re- <br />corded in Volume 4963, Page 669 of Cuyahoga County Records; <br />thence Easterly along the Southerly line of said parcel so <br />conveyed, 134feet to its intersection with the Northerly <br />prolongation of an Easterly line of Sublot No. 84; thence <br />Southerly along said Northerly prolongation and along said <br />Easterly line of Sublot No. 84, 40 feet to the Southeasterly <br />corner thereof; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of <br />Sublot No. 84, 1~4 feet to the place of begimn~ng, as appears <br />by said plat, be the same more or less, but subject to all <br />~kegal highways; and <br /> <br /> Situated in the City of Lakewood, County of Cuyahoga <br />and State of Ohio and known as being Sublot No. 85 in the <br />N. F. W. Bailey Re-Subdivision of part of Original Rockport <br />Township Section No. 19, as shown by the recorded plat of <br />said Re-Subdivision in Volume 58 of Maps, Page 2~ of CRyahoga <br />County Records, and having a frontage of 40 feet on the <br />Easterly side of Carabel Avenue, and extending back of equal <br />width 134 feet deep, as appears by said plat, be the same <br />more or less, but subject to all legal highways. <br /> <br /> <br />
