BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into a Funding Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners to administer the FY 1995 Emergency Shelter Grant Program on behalf of ~the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received an Emergency Shelter Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the amount of $85,000; and WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood and Cuyahoga County have had a positive experience and good working relationship by which the Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services retains Lakewood's Emergency Shelter Grant funds and coordinates homeless services; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with and to budget all Emergency Shelter Grants received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and to enter into an agreement .with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners to administer all of the City of Lakewood's FY 1995 Emergency Shelter Grant received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; said agreement to be in a form substantially similar to that in attached Exhibit A., and to contain such terms and conditions as deemed necessary by the Director of Law to protect the public interest. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
