RESOLUTION NO. 70Z9-95 <br /> <br /> PLACED ON 1st Reading ~ REFERRED <br /> to HOUSING COMMITTEE 3/20/95. <br />PLACED ON 2nd Reading on 4/17/9S. <br /> <br /> BY: Boscia, Flannery, George, <br />Gibbons, Roth, Seelie, Smith <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into <br />a Funding Agreement with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners <br />to administer the FY 1995 Emergency Shelter Grant Program on behalf <br />of ~the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received an Emergency <br />Shelter Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development in the amount of $85,000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood and Cuyahoga County have had a <br />positive experience and good working relationship by which the <br />Cuyahoga County Office of Homeless Services retains Lakewood's <br />Emergency Shelter Grant funds and coordinates homeless services; <br />and <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an <br />agreement with and to budget all Emergency Shelter Grants received <br />from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and to <br />enter into an agreement .with the Cuyahoga County Board of <br />Commissioners to administer all of the City of Lakewood's FY 1995 <br />Emergency Shelter Grant received from the U.S. Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development; said agreement to be in a form <br />substantially similar to that in attached Exhibit A., and to <br />contain such terms and conditions as deemed necessary by the <br />Director of Law to protect the public interest. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions <br />of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this <br />ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
