MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> December 19, 2022 <br /> AUDITORIUM <br /> Present: Councilmembers Shachner, Kepple & Bullock (virtual) <br /> Also Present: Councilmembers Marx, Litten and Rader, Planning Director Leininger, Mayor <br /> George, Law Director Vargo, Finance Director Rancatore, Assistant Finance Directors Eddy and <br /> Shuster, Planning Director Leininger, Assistant Planning Director Baas, Acting Public Works <br /> Director Papke, Chief Kaucheck, Chief Dunphy (virtual), Chief of Staff John Storey, Building <br /> Commissioner Parmelee, IT Manager Coletta, Clerk Bach and Council staff taking minutes <br /> Call to Order: 6:08 p.m. <br /> Acknowledging that Councilmember Bullock was appearing virtually, Law Director Vargo <br /> explained that LCO 109.01(b)(1) authorizes Mr. Bullock to attend virtually and to vote, so long as <br /> it is authorized by the Chair of the committee. <br /> Chairman Shachner authorized Councilmember Bullock to attend the meeting virtually, pursuant <br /> to LCO 109.01(b)(1). <br /> Approval of the minutes of the December 12,2022 meeting of the Finance Committee <br /> Motion made and seconded to approve the minutes of the December 12, 2022 meeting of the <br /> Finance Committee. All in favor. Motion passed. Minutes approved. <br /> Public Works Department <br /> Acting Director Papke continued his presentation from the December 12, 2022 meeting. He <br /> explained Public Works's IWWIP progress and the work that will be done on design and <br /> permitting. Mr. Papke described the Andrews post-construction flow and pollutant data <br /> collection, the Summit Outfall Rehabilitation, and the Lake-Clifton Connector project. For 2023, <br /> the cost share is $50,000 to handle watermain crossovers and by 2024, the estimated share of <br /> $800,000 will be used for 100% of the watermain crossovers. <br /> Acting Director Papke described the ODNR Nature Works Grant that awarded the Public Works <br /> department$150,000 for the Lakewood Park Foster pool. <br /> Acting Director Papke explained plans for the improvement of the parking lot for Lakewood <br /> Park and shared that construction will begin after Labor Day in 2023 and will potentially be <br /> complete by summer of 2024. <br /> Acting Director Papke spoke of the major projects in progress for the Public Works Department. <br /> These projects include the Interceptor Tunnel Rehabilitation, the new recycling center, working <br /> with RTA on West 117 ', and the CUY-90 Reconstruction plan. The department was awarded a <br /> $2.4 million grant from OPWC for funding of the Interceptor Tunnel Rehabilitation project and a <br /> 1 <br />
