<br />MINUTES <br />OF A MEETING OF <br />LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> AUDITORIUM <br />SEPTEMBER 18, 2023 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Regular Meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:40 PM by President Litten. <br />**** <br /> <br />Present:,Kyle Baker, John Litten, Cindy Marx, Tristan Rader, Jason Shachner, Sarah Kepple, <br />Tom Bullock <br />Also Present: Mayor George, Finance Director Rancatore, Public Works Director Gordon, Fire <br />Chief Dunphy, Law Director Vargo,Planning Director Leininger, Human Resources Director <br />Dillinger, Human Services Director Berry, Police Chief Fischer. <br />**** <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to approve the minutes of the <br />September 5, 2023 General Meeting without the necessity of a reading. Councilmember Bullock <br />abstained, all others in favor and motion passed. <br />***OLD BUSINESS*** <br />1.Report from Committee of the Whole regarding meeting held September 18, 2023 (to <br />be provided) <br />President Litten delivered the following oral report: <br />The Committee of the Whole just met previous to this meeting to discuss the downtown <br />development update from Director Leininger as well as Brett Sobczak of Casto, and in that <br />update we were able to ask questions related to, really not a whole lot of new developments, <br />other than the potential of the project to be done in phases as opposed to one full approval <br />all at once, with the phasing beginning on the south end of the property and moving <br />northward, hopefully in a way that could be done very much sequentially without <br />construction needing to halt on the site in any way, shape or form. But that is probably the <br />substantive part of the update, in addition to just the lending world being challenging for <br />commercial real estate as a whole and in the region right now. \\ <br />Motion by President Litten, seconded by Vice President Kepple to receive and file the oral report. <br />All members in favor.
