ORDINANCE N0. 82- 5 <br />Page -5- <br />(f) Whenever a uniform item is damaged or destroyed <br />in the line of duty then that item shall be replaced at <br />the cost of the municipality subject to the recommendation <br />of the Chief of the Departmento Whenever a uniform item <br />is lost or destroyed by one of the aforementioned employees <br />in a manner not related to the performance of his duty <br />then that item sha11 be replaced at the cost of the <br />employee, subject to the recommendation of the Chief of <br />Police. <br />(g) Whenever different or additional uniform items <br />are required due to the promotion of a full-time member <br />of the Police or Fire Department the municipality sha11 <br />purchase those items for which rece'ipted bi11s are <br />presented together with an approval for payment from <br />the Chief of the Department. <br />(.h) Each full-time member of the Service Department <br />shall be reimbursed for work clothing purchased in an <br />amount not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00) <br />per year. The Finance Director is authorized to make <br />such distributions during January of each year. Receipted <br />bills evidencing the purchases wi11 be submitted to the <br />Building Commissioner for his approval and then on to <br />the Finance Director for paymerito The uniform allowance <br />stated herein may also be used for uniform maintenance. <br />(i) Each police officer, excluding the Chief of <br />Police, shall be compensated in addition to the salary <br />set forth in Section l, for attendance required in Court <br />if such appearance occurs while the police officer is not <br />on dutyo The police officer under these circumstances <br />sha11 be paid the equivalent of two (2) hours aaditional <br />compensation computed at the officer's regular hourly <br />rate provided in Section 1e <br />(j) There sha11 be no uniform allowance or maintenance <br />for part-time police dispatcherse <br />Section 3. Ordinances Nos. 81-32, 81-55, and Sections 1 <br />and 2 of Ordinance No. 81-21 are hereby repealed. <br />Section 4. Council finds and determines that all formal <br />actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance <br />have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting <br />in such formal actiona took place in meetings open to the public, <br />in compliance with all statutory requiremerits, including the <br />requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
