. ., <br />a' <br />f .- <br />, <br />? <br />EXHIBIT A <br />A G RE E M E N T <br />This Agreement, made and entered into this _ day of <br />, 1982, _by and between the <br />and the , political subclivisions <br />of the State of Ohio. <br />THAT h'HEREAS, it is desirable that each of the respective <br />parties hereto have such additional police protection which may <br />be afforded by the equipment, apparatus and personnel of_ the other <br />party, when, because of circumstances, such additional aid may <br />appear necessary, and WHEREAS, by Resoluti.on duly passed by Council of `.._. Ma.yfield <br />Village on the 15th day of February , 198_.2, <br />and by Resolution duly passed by the Council of the <br />on the day of , 19E •, the <br />parties hereto were authorized to enter into a contract for the.mutual <br />interchange of police protection services. <br />l) Each party hereto will assist the other party who is <br />primarily responsible tor rendering police protection service with- <br />in its boundaries upon being requested so to do by the Chief of the, <br />Police Department of the political subdivision requesting such <br />assistance or by the person next in charge thereof, by use of it:? <br />police equipment, apparatus and personnel, and will render the same <br />service to the political subdivision calling for such assistance <br />as it renders in the performance of said services within its own <br />political subdivision. Provided, however, that at no time will <br />the party upon which said request is made be required to respond <br />with ec;uipment or personnel which is necessary to maintain adeguate <br />police protection within its own boudaries. <br />2) The equipment, apparatus and personnel res.ponding to said <br />request for additional police protection shall at all times be under <br />the supervision, order and direction of the persons in charge of <br />the Police Department of the subdivision making such call for <br />additional protection. . <br />3) That Section 701.02 of the Revised Code of Ohio, insofar as <br />the same shall be applicable to the operation of Police Degartments, <br />shall apply to the contracting parties hereto, and the Police Depart- <br />ment members thereof, during the time said members are rendering service outside their respective political subdivisionso <br />4) Said Police Department members sha11 be entitled to all <br />the riqhts and benefits of the Workmen's Compensation Act to the <br />?same extent as when..performing services within their respective <br />subdivisions. 5) Neither of the parties hereto shall be compensated by the <br />payment of any sum or sumsfor the use of said equipment or for <br />the services rendered by the members of its respective Police <br />Department.
