M.V. ORDINANCE NO. 81- 52 <br />Page -2- <br />Willow, Cottonwood, American Elm, various nut <br />and fruit trees, Ailanthus, Mountain Ash and <br />Oregon Maple shall not be planted in any tree <br />lawn. A tree planting program should be prepared <br />by qualified landscape architects for trees along <br />the public streets and public areas. Such program <br />should consider the species to be used on specific <br />streets along with regulations controlling spacing <br />and also controlling the distance from curbs, <br />street intersections, private driveways and street <br />lights. Such program should be in accordance with <br />the objectives of Policy No. 29, January, 1964, of <br />the American Society of Landscape Architects. <br />A11 trees planted. pursuant to this Section shall <br />include the following as minimum specifications <br />for each such tree: <br />1. The minimum caliper of each tree <br />planted, regardless of species, shall be <br />two and one-half (2-1/2) inches. The <br />caliper measurement shall be taken twelve <br />(12) inches above the ground line. <br />2. The minimum height for each tree <br />planted shall be in relation to its caliper <br />and species, and in accordance with the <br />standards of the American Nurserymanos <br />Association. <br />3. All trees planted shall be balled <br />and burlapped. <br />4. All trees planted shall survive one <br />(1) full growing season after the date it is <br />planted. If, before `the expiration of one <br />(1) full growing season after-the date it is <br />planted, any such tree is either dead or in <br />poor condition, ,based on the opinion of the <br />Village Landscape Architect, shall be replaced <br />by the developer during the~next planting <br />season. <br />All trees planted pursuant to this Section shall be <br />inspected by the Village Landscape Architect to assure <br />that all requirements herein have been fulfilled. <br />Section 2. Existing Section 1119.11 of the Codified Ordinances <br />of Mayfield Village is hereby repealed. <br />
