ORDINANCE N0. 80- 56 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING ASSESSMENTS FOR <br />THE PAYMENT OF STREET LIGHTING AND THE <br />IMPROVEMENT OR INSTALLATION OF ADDITIONAL <br />LIGHTING BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT OF ALL <br />PARCELS BENEFITED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council did adopt Resolution 80-41 on June <br />25, 1980 declaring therein the necessity to provide for payment of <br />street lighting and the improvement or installation of additional <br />lighting by special assessment of all parcels benefited; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution the Village Engineer <br />did prepare and file with the office of the Clerk of this Council <br />estimated assessments for the cost of said improvement showing <br />thereon the amount of the assessment against each lot or parcel of <br />land to be assessed; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the passage of said Resolution and of <br />the filing of the estimated assessments was published in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the municipality on the 7th and 14th days <br />of August, 1980, all according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, there having been no objections to the estimated <br />assessments filed following the publication of a notice as aforesaid; <br />Now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />THAT: <br />Section 1. The cost and expense of improving certain <br />public thoroughfares in Mayfield Village, Ohio, and other public <br />areas within said Village by lighting the same with sizes of lamps <br />at the locations indicated on the plans located in the office of <br />the Clerk of this Council, and of maintaining and operating the <br />existing street lighting facilities within Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />is to be assessed at the rate of .7 mills to be levied against all parcels <br />indicated in the list of assessments attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein as if fully rewritten, the same having been prepared by the <br />Village Engineer and which are hereby adopted and confirmed by this <br />Council, which assessments are in direct proportion to the tax value <br />thereof and are not in excess of the statutory limitations. <br />
