- 16 <br />6ection 74•--Re~ulatin~ Vehicles Hauling Drippi~ NIateria~. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to haul or 'cranspcz•t, <br />or cause the same to be done, over or upon any street or highway <br />within the village any oil, petroleum, tar, residium gasoline <br />or acid material or liquid or semi-liquid substance in any tank, <br />kettle, cart, wagon or veh~,cle which is not so constructed as <br />to prevent the same from dripping, leaking, or in any manner being <br />spilled upon any street or h~ghtpray; if equipped with a, faucet or <br />spigot, said tank, kettle, cart, wagon or vehicle shall be supplied <br />with an efficient guard, pan or basin so constructed and arranged <br />~s Lo catch and hold all of~the drippings from any such faucet or <br />spi~c~t with which said tank, kettle, cart, wagon or vehicle may be <br />e 7'_~~T~p ed . <br />S__ec~~.c_n__7_5-=Drivin~Unsafe Veh~.ela <br />- ~~ a No person shall drive or move or cause or knowingly <br />permit to be driven or moved on any high~ray any vehicle or com- <br />bina'c~ion of vehicles which is in such unsafe condition as to <br />endan e-r any person. <br />~b) Nothing contained in this ordinance shall be constructed <br />to prohibit the use of additions]. parts and accessories on any <br />vehicle not inconsistent with the provisions of t~iis ordinance. <br />(c) The provisions of this ordinance with respect to equipment <br />on vehicles shall not apply to implements ~f husbandry, road <br />machinery, road rollers, or agricultural tractors except a$ herein <br />made applicable. <br />Section 6--Li hts <br />a Every vehicle upon a highway open to traffic during <br />the time from 'one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise, <br />and at any other time when there is not sufficient natural <br />light to render discernible persons, vehicles and substantial <br />objects on the highway at a distance of fi~te hundred feet <br />ahead shall display lighted lamps and illuminating devices as <br />hereinafter respectively required for different classes of <br />vehicles, subject to exceptions with respect to parked vehicles <br />as hereinafter stated, <br />(b) Whenever a s~equirement is hereinafter declared as t4 <br />the dists.neefrom ~~rhish certain lamps and devices shall render <br />ob,~ects visible or within which such lamps or devices shall be <br />visible, such distance shall be measured upon a straight level <br />unlighted highway under normal atmospheric conditions unless <br />a different oondition is expressly stated. <br />(c) Whenever a requirement is_hereinafter deolared as to <br />the mounted height of lamps or devices it sha3.1 mean from the <br />center of such lamp or device to the level ground upon which <br />the vehicle stands. <br />Section, =~-L1~hts <br />a Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, shall be <br />equipped with a'G least two head lamps t~s~.th ~.t least one near <br />each side of the front of the motor vehicle, which head lamp <br />shall comply,.with the requirements and .imitations set forth <br />in this ordinance. <br />(b) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with ~t least <br />one and not more than two head lamps which shall comply with <br />the requirements and limitations of this ordinance. <br />
