- 17 - <br />Section ~8--Li hts On Trailers ' <br />a very motor vehicle, trailer, semi-trailer, pole <br />trailer or any other vehicle which is being drawn at the end of <br />a train of vehicles shall be equipped with at least one tail <br />lamp mounted on the rear which, when lighted as hereinbefore re- <br />quired, shall emit a red light visible from a distance of five <br />Hundred feet to the rear., provided that in the case of a train <br />of vehicles only the tail lamp on the rearmost vehicle need be <br />visible from the distance specified. <br />(b) Either a tail lamp or a separate lamp shall be so con- <br />struc~ed and placed as to illuminate with a white light the rear <br />°egis~~ration plate,. when such registration plate is required, and <br />render it legible from r~; distance of Fifty feet to the rear, .Any <br />tail I~Lmp or tail lamps, together with any separate lamp for <br />illuminating the rear registration plate; shall be so wired as to <br />be lighted whenever the head lamps or auxiliary driving lamps <br />are lighted, except where separate lighting systems are provided <br />for trailers for the purpose of illuminating such registration plat®. <br />Section 79--Li~hte <br />Buses, trucks., commercial tractors; trailers, semi-trailers <br />and pole trailers respectively, when operating on any highway <br />shall be equipped as required by regulations prescribed and pro- <br />mulgated by the Chief of Po~,ice relating to clearance and marker <br />lamps, reflectors and stop lights thereon, and such equipment <br />so required shall be lighted at all times mentioned in Section <br />?6 except that clearance and side marker lamps need not be lighted <br />on any such vehicle t~rhen operated in the village z~rhere there <br />is sufficient light to reflect any person or sinbstantial object <br />on the highway at a distance of Five hundred feet.; <br />Such equipment shall be in addition to~all other lamps especially <br />required by this ordinance, <br />Vehicles operated under the public .utilities commission of <br />Ohio need not be subject to the requirements of this section. <br />..Section 80--Lights ®n Trailers <br />Whenever motor and other vehicles are dperatec~. in combination <br />during the time that lights are,required3 any lamp, except tail <br />lamps, need not be lighted which by reason of its location on a <br />vehicle of the combination would be obscured by another vehicle <br />of the combination but this shall not affect the requirement that <br />lighted clearance lamps be displayed on the front of the foremost <br />~rehicle required to have clearance lamps or that all lights required <br />~~n the rear of the rearmost vehicle of any combination shall be <br />lighted. . <br />Section BI--Li ht Or Fla On Pro ectin Lo ds <br />Whenever he load upon any.ve icle extends to the rear <br />four feet or more beyond. the bed or body of such 'vehicle there <br />shall be displayed at 'Che ekt~eme rear end of the load, at the <br />dime specified in section 75 hereof, a red light or lantern <br />;,Mainly visible from a distance of s,t least five h~ndrad feet <br />to the sides :arid rear.
