Hotrever, no lights <br />need be displayed upon any such vehicle when stopped or parked where <br />there i~ sufficient light to reveal any person or substantial <br />object within a distance of five hundred feet upon such highway. <br />A.ny lighted head lamps upon a parked vehia],e shall be depressed <br />or dimmed. <br />Section 8~_..LY~hts On ~ehicl®s <br />All.vehiclee, including animal-drawn vehicles and including <br />those re~'erred to in section 76 not hereinbefor® specifically <br />required to be equipped with lamps, shill at the time and under <br />the circ~imstances specified in section 76 hereof display at least <br />one lighted lamp or lantern exhibiting a white light visible from <br />a distance of approximately five hundred feet to the front of such <br />vehicle and with a lamp or 3antern exhibiting a red light visible <br />fram a distance of aAnroximatelY five hundred feet to the rear. <br />(aT Any motor vehiclE may be equipped with not to exceed. <br />one spot lamp and every lighted spot lamp shall be so aimed <br />and used upon approaching another' veh~.cle that no part of the <br />high-intensity portion of the beam wi ~ be directed to the lef$ <br />of the prolongation of the extreme Te~t side of the vehicle <br />which diap~ays said lamp nor more than one hundred feet ahead <br />of said. vehicle. <br />(b) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not to exceed <br />three auxiliary driving lamps mounted .on the front of the <br />vehicle prdviding the same comply wit~i the specifications and <br />regulations prescribed by the Chief of Police, which are thou <br />in force grid effect. The Chief of Police shall, and is hez°eby <br />authorized to prescribe specifications for such lamps and <br />regulations for their use and it shall be unlawful to use any <br />such lamps which do not con#'orm to s~.i~ specifications and <br />regulations. <br />Section 8 --Cowl Side and Baskin Li hts~ <br />a ,4ny motor vehicle may be equipped with side cowl <br />or fender l~arnpc which shall emit a whits yr amber light without <br />glare. <br />(b) An~r motor vehicle may be equipped with lamps on each <br />side thereof which shall emit a white or amber ].fight without glar®. <br />(c) Any motor vehicle may be equipped with back--up lamps <br />either separately or in combination with another lamp; except <br />that no such back-up lamps shah. be c,ontinuouely lighted t~rhen <br />the motor vehicle is in forward motion. <br />Section 86--Two Li hts On Front <br />a At all times mentioned in section 76 at least two <br />lighted lamps shall be displayed, one near each side of the <br />front of every motor vehicle except when such vehicle is parked <br />subject to the regulations governing lights on parked vehicles. <br />(b) The Chief of Police is hereby au';hcrizad and directed <br />to prescribe and promulgate regulations rep€a,t:ing to the design <br />and. use of such lamps and such regulations shall be in accordance <br />with currently recognized standards. <br />
