]~ ._ <br />Section 87--- Non Glare Provision <br />Whenever a motor vehicle is being operated on a roadway <br />during the times specified in section 76 the driver shall <br />use a distribution of light, or composite beam, directed <br />high enough and of sufficient intensity to reveal persons, <br />vehicles and substantial objects at a safe distance in advance- <br />of the vehicle, subject to the following requirements and <br />lim:.tations; Whenever the driver of a vehicle approaches an <br />anc;cming vehicle, such driver shall use a distribution of light <br />or composite beam so aimed that the glaring rays are not projected <br />into the eyes of the oncoming driver. <br />Section 88--Provision For Lights On Slow Going Vehicles <br />Any motor vehicle may be operated under the conditions <br />specified in section 7b when equipped with ttao lighted lamps <br />upon the front thereof capable of revealing persons and substantial <br />objects seventy--five feet ahead in lieu of lamps required in section <br />86, provided, however, that it shall not be operated at a speed in <br />excess of twenty miles per hour: <br />Section 8~ -Bright Light Limitation <br />(a) Whenever a motor vehicle equipped with head lamps as <br />herein required is also equipped with any auxiliary lamps or a <br />spot lamp or any other lamp an the front thereof projecting abeam <br />of an intensity greater than .three ~undrec~ candle patfire~°, not mare than <br />a total of five of any such lamps on the front of a vehicle shall <br />be lighted at any one time when upon a highway. <br />Bright Lights to be Tilted <br />(b) Any lighted lamp or illuminating device upon a motor <br />vehicle other than headlamps, spot lamp, signal lamps or auxiliary <br />driving lamps tnrhich projects a beam of light of an intensity greater <br />than three hundred candle-power shall be so directed that no part <br />of the beam will strike the level of the roadway on which the vehicle <br />stands at..a distance of more than seventy-five feet from the vehicle. <br />No _Red Light, .on Front of Vehicle <br />(c) Nb person shall drive or move any vehicle or equipment <br />upon any highway with.any lamp or device thereon displaying a red <br />light mounted on the f'~°ont thereaS., This paragraph shall not apply <br />to emergency vehicles; school, buses; traffic line stripers, snow <br />plows and similar equipment operated by the department df. local <br />authorities. <br />Flashing Li~litb on Vek~'icles <br />(d) Flashing lights are prohibited on motor veh~.elb~, except <br />as a means fdr indicating a right turn or as stop lights. This <br />paragraph shal]. not apply to emergency vehicles, school buses, traffic <br />line stripers, snow plows and similar equipment operated by the <br />department or local authorities. <br />Section 90--Lights To Be Focused <br />No person shall use upon any motor vehicle, trailer or semi- <br />trailer any lamps mentioned in this ordinance unless said lamps are <br />equipped, mounted and adjusted as to focus and aim in accordance with <br />regulations which may be prescribed by the Chief of Police. <br />Section 91---Brake Equipment Required <br />..,P~. Brake Equipment Required. <br />1. Every motor vehicle, other than a motar~cycle, when <br />operated upon a highway shall be equipped with brakes adequate to <br />control the movement of and to stop and hold such motor vehicle, <br />under the conditions described in paragraph(b) of this section <br />
