- 6 <br />different colored lights successively one at a time, or with <br />arrows, the following colors only shall be used and said terms <br />and lights shall indicate and apply to operators of vehicles, <br />and pedestrians as followse <br />(a) Green alone or "got'. <br />1. Pedestrians facing the signal may proceed across the <br />roadway within any marked or unmarked crosswalk <br />2~ All other traffic facing the signal except as provided <br />under section 31 may proceed straight through or turn right or <br />left unless a sign at such plane prohibits either such turn. But'c <br />such traffic shall yield the right of way to vehicles lawfully <br />within the intersection and to pedestrians lawfully within a <br />crosswalk at the time such signal is e~:l~.ibited. <br />(b) Yellow alone or "cautions' ~~rhen shown following the green <br />or "gott signal. <br />All traffic facing the signal shall stop provided that any <br />traffic within the intersection shall be permitted to continue <br />cautiously through the intersection. <br />(c ) Red alone or t'stopss . <br />1, No pedestrian facing the signal shall enter the roadwayo <br />2. Flo pedestrian facing such signal shall enter the roadway. <br />2~ All other traffic facing such signal may cautiously enter <br />the entersection only to make the movement indicated by the traffic- <br />control device, but shall yield the right of way to pedestrians <br />lawfully within a crosswalk and to other traffic lawfully using the <br />intersection. <br />(e) Green arrow alone. <br />All traffic facing such signal may enter the intersection only <br />to make the movement indicated by such arrow but shall yield the <br />right of way to pedestrians lawfully Urithin a crosswalk and to other <br />traffic lawfully using the intersection. <br />Section. 1~---Flashing, Signals <br />ti9henever flashing red or yellow traffic signals are used they <br />shall require obedience as follows: <br />7. Flashing red (stop signal). <br />Oi~erators of vehicles shall stop before entering the intersection <br />or at a limit line ~~rhen marked, and the right to proceed shall be <br />subject to the rules applicable after making a stop at a stop sign. <br />24 Flashing yellow (caution signal).
