ORDINANCE No. 169 <br />BY 1VIR. CORLETT <br />AN ORDINA.NCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE LICENSING <br />OF PUBLIC RIDING STABLES, <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the Village of Mayfield9 Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, tha.t:- ' <br />Section 1. DEFINITION, A public riding stable is hereby defined <br />as a piace wlzerein are kept horses to be rent-ed o-r let for hire at any time. <br />Section 2o LICENSE FOR PUBLIC RTDITIG ST9BLE, APPLICIITION FOR. <br />No public riding stabl.e, as defined in Sec-tion Z of this Ordinanee, shall be <br />operated in the Village of lUlayfield srri.thout a license issued by the 1Na.yor. <br />Anplication-for ]:icenses for public riding stables shall be made in tivriting <br />to the Mayor and such a.pplication slzall contain the full name and address of <br />the applicant; the address ard description of the premises to be used as a <br />public riding stable,, and the number of horses which are to be kept therein <br />for rent or to be let for hirev <br />Section 3. FORM AND TER,M OF ZICENSES. Upon satisfactory fulfill- <br />ment of the foregoing requirements ana upon the payment of the fee and giving <br />of the boncl as hereinafter provided, there may be issued to the applicant a <br />license which shall be in such form as to describe fu11y the premises and <br />the number of horses permitted therein. Such license shall be issued as of <br />January lst,.ar:d shall be valid to and including-the 31st of December next <br />? succeeding, unless othervJise revoked. Section 4. FEE FOR LICENSEs .A fee in the amount of Two Dollars <br />(,A,2:OO) for each horse kept in such public i'iding stable to be rented or 1et <br />for hire sha11 be paid-f or each public riding stable license. <br />Section 5e BOND. With the application for such license shall be <br />filed a-bond in the penal sum of Fifty Dollars (,t;50000) signed by the applicant, <br />as principal, and by sureties satisfactcry to the blayor conditioned upon com- <br />pliance-with all the term,s and provisions of this Ordinance in the event such <br />lice-rvse sha.ll be granted. <br />Section 6. CONDITION OF PRLIVIISES. The premises in and about a <br />public riding stabl.e shall at a11 times'be kept in a cleani sanitary and health- <br />f 1Ll C OIld.lt10Y1s <br />Section 7. LOITERIhG IN AND ABOUT .A PUBLIC RIDING STA.BLE. It shall <br />be unlavrful for ar;y person to loiter within a diatance nearer than two hundred <br />(200) feet of ary public riding stable: <br />Section 8. VTOLATTONS. Any person guilty of ax?y violation of this <br />Oroinance' or-any part thereof' Shally upon cornriction thereof, be fined as <br />, follows:- . For the first offense in a sum not more than One Hundred Dollars <br />($100.00) and in default of pay-ment of such fine may be committed <br />? to prison9 each day of such eommittal to be talren as li:quidation <br />of One Dollar ($1;00) of such fine; for the Second or any subsequent <br />offense, in a sum not more than Two Hundxed Fifty Do11arS (050;00), <br />and in default of payment of such fine may be committed to prison, <br />each day of such committal to be taken as liquidation of One Dollar <br />($1000) of such fine. .
