- 2 - <br />existing thoroughfares, due provision shall be made for con- <br />tinuing, in a practical manner, such of the existing streets <br />through the proposed allotment as may be necessary for public <br />requirements, subject to the approval of Commission and Council. <br />e. VThere the land for a proposed allotment adjoins unallotted <br />property capable of being allotted, then the streets in such <br />proposed allotment need only be carried to the boundaries <br />thereof . <br />f. Only where conditions make it impossible to extend streets to <br />the boundary of the allotment will so called todead-end« streets <br />be approved subject to the recommendation of the Commission <br />and the approval of Council. All such ~~dead-endi~ streets shall <br />terminate at a turning circle having a minimum outside diameter <br />of one hundred and ty,renty feet. In all other instances streets <br />must be carried to the boundaries of the allotment. <br />g. The location and z~dths of proposed streets shall be such as <br />to fit in vrith any plan of street development adopted by the <br />commission or other public autl_ZOrity. Due regard shall be <br />given to existing streets or streets capable of being established <br />in surrounding property, so that streets may be laid out through <br />adjacent or neighboring allotments with reasonable continuity <br />of location and- v~ridth. <br />h. The streets shovan on the plat shall be maned so that there <br />will be no duplication of any existing street name within <br />Cuyahoga County insofar as is practical. <br />i® Sublots must meet the requirements of the appropriate zoning <br />ordinance as to frontage and area. <br />j. No plat or map of a proposed street or allotment showing <br />reserve strips controlling access to public ydays, or shoyTing <br />strips of land which will not prove taxable for special im- <br />provements, will be approved; provided, however, that such <br />reserve strips may be shown. v,~h.en the control and disposal of <br />land comprising such strips are definitely placed with the <br />Village under conditions meeting the approval of the Village <br />Engineer and the Village Solicitor. <br />k. An~r situation concerning platting regulations which is not <br />covered by this Ordinance must be accepted by the Commission <br />before subject to approval o:£ Council. <br />Section 1~. PRELII~~NARY PL,aTTING <br />A. Requirements: <br />a. The Ovaner shall prepare a Preliminary-Plan and Profiles of <br /> all streets in pencil on paper to keep the cost at a minimum. <br />b. The scale of the plan shall be not less than one inch equals <br /> two hundred feet; the prof Iles which may be prepared on <br /> standard cross-section paper shall have a horizontal scale <br /> of one inch equals fifty feet and a vertical scale of one <br /> inch equals five feet. <br />c. The Preliminary Plan, which shall be plotted on a topographic <br /> survey, shall show the boundary outline of the land to be <br /> allotted; the location and. names of boundary streets or streets <br />./ ~~~ <br />`,'.~' ~ terminating at said boundaries; the proposed arrangement of <br />_ <br />r' streets and sublots with approximate dimensions.
