Sec. 15. Penalties® Any owner or driver of a public vehicle not licensed in accordance with .the provisions of this ordinance, or of a public vehicle the license of which has been suspended or revoked, who engages or attempts to engage in the business of a public vehicle as hereinbefore defined or who solicits for hire passengers upon the streets of the Village of Mayfield shall, upon conviction before the Mayor, be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars (~1OO.OO).and costs. _ Sec. 16. Enforcement® The licensing and inspection of publ~.c vehicles and the examination and licensing of applicants for licenses to drive such public vehicles and the enforcement of the provisions of this ordinance sha11 be under the jurisdiction of the Nk~,3*or and the police department of the Village of Mayfield. Sec, 17, Exceptions. Nothing in this ordinance shall be deemed to apply to motor vehicles used exclusively for services at weddings, christenings, or funerals. Sec. 18. Each section of this ordnance and every part of each section is hereby declared to be an independent section or Bart of section, and the holding of arty section or part thereof to be void or ineffective for any reason shall not bec:deemed to affect any other section or part of section.
