Allowance: In addition to their regular compensation, each regular member of the Police Department shall be reimbursed for the cost of unif orms purchased by him f or use in his police work; provided, however, that such reimbursement shall not exceed the sum of $100e00 per year and must be supported by bills showing the cost of samee In addition, each Special Policeman shall be likewise so reimbuzsed, except that his maximum allowance for uniforms shall be $50.00 per year." Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the Village o£ Mayfield and its inhabitants, because of the necessity of psoviding the maximum police proteetion within the limits of the funds available for that purpose, and this Ordinance shall take ef£ect and be in force from and after the date of its passage.
