<br />THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />" COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA <br />STATE OF OHIO <br />MANUAL OF RULES AND REGULATIGNS GOVERNING THE AUXILIARY FO LICE <br />PURPOSE <br />The purpose of the Auxiliary Police of the~Village of Mayfield, is to <br />aid and assist the regular Department of Police, of the Village of Mayfield'. <br />in their services of protecting the public and preserving order. <br />In the event of enemy attack, the Auxiliary Police will be called up- <br />on to perform special Civil Defense duties. <br />. Upon the zeal, activity, judgement, good conduct, harmony, and co-op- <br />eration of each member, will depend the efficiency of this Department. <br />ORGANIZATION AND PERSONNEL <br />t Section I. <br />(a) The total number of men on the Auxiliary Police Unit shall be de- <br />termined by the Civil Defense Director of the Village of Mayfield and the <br />Chief of Police of the Village of Mayfield, subject to approval of the <br />Mayor. <br />(b) All Auxiliary Policemen shall be appointed and administered the <br />Loyalty Oath, by the Civil Defense Director, with the approval of the <br />Chief of Police and the Mayor, and Council. <br />(c) There shall not be any monetary compensation established for <br />Auxiliary~Policemen by the Village of Mayfield. All applications will be <br />voluntary, and appointments will be made on the same basis. <br />(d) All assignments carried out by an Auxiliary Policeman will be <br />done on a strictly volunteer basis, but must be carried out according to <br />rules and regulations. <br />(e) All members of the .Auxiliary Police shall familiarize themselves <br />with all of the rules and regulations contained in this manual,~and they <br />shall obey them. <br />e <br />B <br />
