<br />Page 11. <br />T Personal cleanliness and being well-dressed are prime motives to a <br />good appearance. Particular attention should be given to the following <br />items: <br />1. Clothing clean, brushed, and well-pressed. <br />2. Leather polished. <br />3. Hair well-groomed and face clean-shaven. <br />1,.. Teeth cleaned and mouth rinsed if necessary. <br />$. Fingernails clean and trimmed. <br />6. Hands and body clean. <br />J, Ji .1, J, J, Ji J~J~ <br />As an Auxiliary Policeman, you have been placed in a position of <br />great responsibility to the residents of the Village of Mayfield. <br />It is important to learn to know the people of this area. Serve <br />them honestly, as a conservator of~public peace, give a word of com- <br />fort to those who may be afflicted, and use good judgement in assist- <br />ing them in time of emergency. <br />In due course, you will be required to attend classes for the pur- <br />pose of acquiring the additional, necessary information, which will en- <br />able you to function easily and properly in the tasks to which you will <br />eventually be assigned. <br />We appreciate your eagerness to become a member of the Auxiliary <br />Police of the Village of Mayfield, and hone that you will receive ex- <br />treme satisfaction in the knowledge that you are helping to make Mayfield <br />Village a safer, more appealing place in which to live. <br />~~~~~~~~ <br />William Shortle <br />Chief of Police <br />_•. <br />
