a. Space Required A space or spaces, shall be provided within structure of such dimensions as to accommodate the trucks employed for loading or uxil.oading goods and equipment for the particular use. Each space shall have a vertical clearance of at least 11+. feet. Required loading spaces shall not be used for repairing or servicing of motor vehicles, and shall not be allocated or used to satisfy the space requirements for required off- street parking. b. Location - Design Loading facilities shall not be located in a front yard or in a required side or rear yard. Off-street loading spaces shall be provided with surface improvements as required for parlcing areas . 3. Access to Streets Access to the streets shall be comtrolled in the interest of public safety and to maintain the designed capacity of the street system similar to the objectives The Ohio Department of Highways has established through Directive D-9~, November 1861, to control access along State arterial highirays adja- cent to freeway interchanges in unincorporated areas. The developments abutting Wilson Mills Road for a distance of 1200 feet from the nearest intersection of a freeway ramp shall be planned so that the first access street or drive~•ray onto Wilson Mills shall be not less than 600 feet from the outer- most ramp terminal right-of way and the successive access point shall be spaced at intervals not less than 600 feet on center. These objectives may be accomplished by marginal service roads, parallel service roads, combining the access of several develop- ments, or other approved facilities. ?~enever it is not feasi- ble to provide such facilities at the time of the original devel- opment, the Commission may grant temporary access for use at lesser distances for a limited period, provided the developments and future control facilities are planned so as not to cause any substantial extra costs to the public or cause relocations or structures when the permanent facilities are constructed. To carry out the above purposes and objectives on sections of Wilson Mills Road or other major streets within the area of in- fluence but more than 1200 feet from the interchange, the Com- mission may permit the spacing of accessways at lesser inter- vals but not less than 200 feet on center, if the projected volume of traffic warrants more frequent spacing. -13-
