lines drawn perpendicular from the face of any wall of one building <br />will not intersect the face, of any wall of another building, where <br />diagonal but not opposite, the minumum horizontal distance between <br />such buildings shall be not less than one-half the combined height <br />of the two buildings. Inf ortnal and oblique arrangements of buildings, <br />conformance to topographic and coordinating the site pattern with <br />natural features is encouraged. The application of the above formulae <br />for spacing of buildings, especially informal and oblique arrangements, <br />shall be~determined by the Planning Commission in the review of the <br />preliminary site development plan. <br />Distances from Apartment Buildings to Accessory Uses. <br />The':minimum distances from any apartment house to parlcing areas, <br />driveways, walks and recreation areas and to the lot line, as set forth <br />herein are to be applied in the site planning. <br />Minimum Distance <br />From Apartment-House From I,ot Line <br />Accessory Uses (Ft) ( Ft.) <br />Garages and parking areas 25 15 <br />Driveways 30 * 10 <br />Wallcs 15 10 <br />Recreation Areas ( active play) 40 15 <br />* except at building entrances. " <br />17 <br />Sec. 10. Section/ of said Ordinance No. 159 is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br />"Sec: 17, Rear Yards in Residence Districts. In aClass U-1 <br />or U-2 District, every building erected shall have a rear yard. The <br />least dimension of such rear yard shall be 20% of the depth of the lot, <br />but such leas;,t dimension need not be more than 40 feet, provided <br />such least dimension shall in no case be less than the height of the <br />building. 40% of the area of such yard may be occupied by a one story <br />accessory building not more than 15 feet in height, but on a corner <br />lot the rear line of which is identical with the side line of an <br />interior lot, no!-.such accessory building if detached from the main <br />building shall be erected within 25 feet of any street line or within <br />10 feet of the rear lot line. Rear yards for apartment buildings shall <br />be governed by Section 16 (a) of Ordinance No. 159 as amended." <br />Sec. 11. Section 18 of prdinance No. 159 is hereby amended to read <br />as follows; <br />
