WITH THE VZLIAGE OF . <br />_ - <br />HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, OHIO, PROVIDING_FORaTHE ADJUSTMENT <br />OF THE $OUNDARY LINE_BETWEEN_THE VILLAGE OF_HIGHLAND <br />HEIGHTS., OHIO, _ANI] THE VILI,AGE_ OF HAYFIELD, OHIO, _ <br />BY.MUTUAL CONSENT; .AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY` <br />WHEREAS, Section 7U9o37 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio <br />provides. that any two adjoining Municipal Corporations may agree to a change <br />in the boundary line separating them¢ and <br />WHEREAS, such change does not involve transfer of territory inhabited <br />by any voter of either Municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, said adjustment of boundary will be the center line of the <br />newly constructed Interstate Noy, 271 and No, 291 Freeway. <br />NOW THEREFORE 'BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY OHIO,. THAT: _ . _ _ ... _. .. _ <br />Secd`1, It is hereby determined and agreed that the boundary line <br />between the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, and the Village of Highland Heights, <br />Ohio, be adjusted in.accordance with the plan marked "Exhibit A" attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof+ _ <br />Sec. 2, The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an. agreement marked 44Exhibit B", a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof , on behalf of, the Village of Mayf field, Ohio., <br />Sec® 3® The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a <br />certif ied copy of this Ordinance to the Village of Highland Heights, Ohio, <br />Seca 4, The Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward a <br />certif ied copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, <br />Sec, 5, This Ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency measure, <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety <br />and welfare of the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, for the reason that the adjustment <br />of the boundary line in the area of the new Freeway above described will <br />facilitate the police enforcement and fire protection service in each of said <br />Municipalities, and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon the date of its passageb <br />Passed this 15th day of April, 1963,, <br />Attest: <br />~~ , ~ ~, <br />(SEAL) -- "~Cle~k <br />~~ <br />~~~ vL ~ ~~ <br />Mayor - President of Council <br />Z' <br />
