i ~A ~> F JRDINANCE N0. 14-1963 ,INTRODUCED By • Henley Brennan SECONDED BY° 4 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING .THE MAYOR AND THE CLERK- TREASURER TO ENTER INTO :AN AGREEMENT WITH THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD,. OHIO, PROVIDING FOR THE ADJUST- MENT OF THE BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, OHIO, AND THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, " OHIO, BY MUTUAL CONSENTS AND -DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, WHEREAS, Section 709.37 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio pro- vides that any two adjoining municipal corporations may agree to a change in the boundary line separating such municipalities; and :~~ WHEREAS, such change does not involve transfer of territory inhabited by ~.'"any voters of either municipality; and ~ ~ Y WHEREAS, said adjustment of boundary will be the center line of the newly constructed Interstate No. 271 and No. 290 Freeway; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: ' Section 1. That it is hereby determined and agreed that the boundary line between the Village of Highland Heights, Ohio and the Village of Mayfield, Ohio, be adjusted in accordance with the plan marked "Exhibit A" attached hereto and.` made a part hereof. Section 2. That the Mayor and the Clerk-Treasurer are hereby authorized; and directed to enter into an Agreement marked "Exhibit B", a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, on behalf of the Village of Highland Heights, Ohio. °~ Section 3. That the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to forward a.certified copy of this Ordinance to the Mayor and Council of the ~li].lage of Mayfield, Ohio. Section 4. That the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to forward a Certified Copy of this Ordinance to the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners. ., t Section 5.
