• i , , , <br />(b) Gates Mills shall pravide and install a presently <br />owned and available police radio in the Mayfield <br />Village back-up ambulance. <br />(c) Gates Mills shall further contribute one-half <br />(1/2) of the cost of the paramedic training <br />of Mayfield Village firefighters during the <br />continuation of this Agreement. <br />(d) Mayfield Village shall contribute one-half <br />(1/2) of the cost of any special training of <br />Gates Mills' personnel required in connection <br />with the maintenance and operation of the Gates <br />Mills jail facility during the continuation <br />of this Agreeiuent. <br />(e). Gates Mills shall contribute one-half (1/2) <br />of the cost of purchasing a new, modular rescue <br />v ehicle, Type III, Class I, to be owned by <br />Mayfield Village and to be used by its fire <br />personnel in performing ambulance and emergency <br />medical service runs pursuant to this Agreement, <br />at a total cost of approximately $65,000.00. <br />In the event that this Agreement is terminated <br />within ten (10) years of the date said rescue <br />vehicle is put into service, Mayfield Village <br />shall reimburse Gates Mills for the unamortized <br />portion of Gates Mills' contribution to its <br />purchase price, based on the ratio of the remaining <br />number of months in said ten year period to <br />120 months. It is the expectation of both <br />municipalities that the new vehicle will replace <br />the present back-up ambulance some time after <br />December 31, 1986 and probably during calendar <br />year 1987. <br />(f) As the purchase of additional or replacement <br />equipment or other capital expenditures become <br />necessary for the continued effective provision <br />of ambulance and emergency medical services <br />by Mayfield Village or for the continued maintenance <br />and operation of the existing jail facility <br />by Gates Mills during the continuation of this <br />Agreement, -the municipalities agree to share <br />the cost thereof on an equal basis and each <br />party will reimburse the other for the un- <br />amortized portion of its costs, in the event <br />of the termination of this Agreement prior <br />to the expiration of the mutually agreed useful <br />life of such equipment or other capital expenditure, <br />from time to time. <br />- 3-
