M.V. RESOLUTION 84-3 <br />Page -2- <br />Fire Departments for the residents of the area; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, do hereby formally recognize the existence of the Hillcrest Fire <br />Chiefs P,ssociation whose membership consists of the Fire Chiefs from <br />Mayfield Village, Highland Heights, Richmond Heights. Mayfield <br />Heights, Lyndhurst, South Euclid, Beachwood, Pepper Pike, and Gates Mills. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village <br />offer their encouragement and support to the Hillcrest Fire Chiefs <br />Association and do further endorse the stated goals of the <br />Association. <br />Section 3 The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village do <br />hereby urge the Mayors and Councils of the other member communities to <br />ac7opt similar resolutions of recognition in order to encourage and <br />foster the growth of this Association eahich is dedicated to furthering <br />the health, safety, and welfare of all the residents in the Hillcrest area. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reasons set forth in the preamble hereto.
