One of the planning regions estahlished by the COUNTY and the <br />Communities. <br />I' <br />I? <br />i; <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />EMER6EVCY I[QCIDENT DE[:Lf2RATIQN <br />The CMEIMS COMMUNITY, the COUNTY, and the CEM BOARD accept that effective <br />communications in connection with this Agreement and in the event of an <br />Emergency Incident is dependent on the utilization of standard terminology as <br />to the magnitude or level of the Emergency Incident and on the assignment of <br />autharity to declare a specific level of Emergency Incident and agree hy this <br />Agreement to the following Emergency Incident Levels and the connected <br />declaratian autharities: <br />? <br />ii <br />2.1 Local (Level 1) Emergency Incident. A Local (Level 1) Emergency <br />Incident shall only require the Emergency Management Capacity of the <br />Incident Community and shall only he declared hy the Incident <br />Community. <br />: I <br />i: <br />?. <br />2.2 Serious (Level 2) Emergency Incident. A Seriaus (Level 2) Emerg=ncy <br />Incident shall anly require the Emergency Management Capacity of the <br />Incident Community and those Communities with which the Incident <br />Community has written mutual aid agreements and shall only be declared <br />by the Incident Community. <br />il <br />(! <br />2.3 Major (Level 3) Emergency Incident. A Major (Level 3) Emergency . <br />Incident shall only require the Emergency Management Capacity of CMEIMS <br />Cammunities and the COUNTY. If the Emergency Incident is within the <br />territorial houndaries of the county, the Incident Community or COUNTY, ` <br />with the approval of the Incident Community, shall declare the Major <br />(Level 3) Emergency Incident. If the Emergen[y Incident is external to ; <br />the territorial houndaries af the county, only the CDUNTY shall declare ? <br />a MaSor (Level 3) Emergency Incident. i <br />I? <br />2_4 County (Level 4) Emergency Incident. q County (Level 4) Emerqency <br />Incident shall anly require the Emergency Management Capacity of the ; <br />CMEIMS Communities and the CQUNTY. If the Emergency Incident is within <br />the territarial boundaries of the county and if a Major (Level 3) <br />Emergency Incident has been previnusly declared, only the COUNTY ehall <br />declare a County (Level 4) Emergency Incident.
