ORDINANCE N0. 85-16 <br />Page -13- <br />ordinances of the municipality and has been approved by the <br />Architectural Review Board, the erection permit shall be <br />issued. . <br />(b) In the event the proposed sign is not in compliance <br />with the requirements of the municipality, the Building <br />Commissioner shall not issue the permit until review and <br />approval has been obtained. <br />(c) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Chapter, <br />the Building Commissioner may deny a permit to any person <br />who has habitually or willfully violated any of the provisions <br />of this Chapter or who has failed to comply within the time <br />specified with an order issued by the Building Commissioner and <br />servec] by him to cause compliance with any provision of this <br />Chapter. <br />(d) All pole signs and ground signs shall be subject to <br />a footing inspection and,all signs shall, when illuminated, <br />be subject to a final electrical inspection by the Building <br />Commissioner. <br />1185.12 Residential One and Two-Family Districts. <br />Accessory signs in residential one and two-family districts <br />shall be designed, erected, altered, moved and maintained in whole or <br />in part, in accordance with these regulations. Only the following <br />types of signs shall be permitted as to use, structure, size and <br />number and shall be regulated as follows: <br />(a) Devel.opment Signs. One temporary development sign <br />not to exceed thirty (32) square feet in area, not to exceed <br />six (6) feet in height above natural grade, and to be located <br />not less than twenty (20) f eet from any lot line on the lot on <br />which a building is under construction and which shall be <br />removed within fourteen (14) days of the beginning of the <br />intended use of the project or completion. SuCh sign Shall <br />be at least thirty (30) feet from the right-of-way line. <br />(b) Integral Signs. One integral sign not to exceed <br />two (2) square feet in areae <br />(c) Identification Sicrn. One identification sign at <br />the entryway to a residential subdivision not to exceed <br />thirty (32) square feet in area and six (6) feet in height <br />above natural grade and to be located not less than thirty <br />(30) feet from the right-of-way line. <br />(d) Nameplate. One nameplate not to exceed one (1) <br />square foot in total area, with lettering not to exceed <br />four (4) inches in height and to be located not less than <br />ten (10) feet from any lot line of the premises.
