ORDINANCE N0. 85-16 <br />Page -14- <br />(e) Real Estate Si.gns. <br />(i) One temporary real estate sign not exceeding <br />six (6) square feet in area or three (3) feet in <br />height above natural grade shall be permitted f or <br />each dwelling or lot. Such sign shall be located <br />not less than ten (10) f eet from the f ront or any <br />side lot line and shall be removed within seven (7) <br />days of the transfer of title, provided, however, <br />two (2) such signs shall be permitted on a single <br />parcel which abuts two (2) streets subject to the <br />regulations herein. "Open house" directional arrows <br />not exceeding three (3) square feet in area are permitted <br />provided that the top of the sign shall not exceed <br />three (3) f eet in height above natural grade and <br />provided that any such sign shall be removed by <br />sundown and placed not less than three (3) feet <br />from any lot line. Signs designated that the <br />property has been "solc7" are prohibited. <br />(ii) One temporary subdivision sign which shall <br />not exceed thirty two (32) square feet in area. No <br />temporary subdivision sign shall be located within <br />one hundred (100) feet of any occupied residence <br />and shall be on the premises within the subdivision <br />being developed. A model house sign not exceeding <br />six (6) sguare feet in area shall be permitted on <br />the same lot as the residence being displayed as <br />a model. Permits for a subdivision sign shall be <br />for a period not to exceed one (1) year and may be <br />renewed of construction at the date of renewal as <br />being pursued diligently. , <br />(f) Security Signs. Security signs may only be of <br />a type which is readily affixed to a window, or affixed to <br />a round rod inserted in the ground, such as a sticker <br />or decal, and may be no more than fifteen (15) square inches <br />in area. <br />(g) Street Address and Residential Name Signs. Two <br />street address residential name signs not exceeding two (2) <br />square feet each in area shall be permitted. Such signs <br />may be allowed on mailboxes, but shall otherwise be located <br />at least six (6) feet from the nearest property line and <br />shall not be over five (5) feet above ground. Signs permitted <br />under this subsection attached to the house shall not exceed <br />six (6) inches in height and those attached to a mailbox <br />shall not exceed four (4) inches in height. Numerals on signs <br />permittecl under this subsection shall not be in script. <br />(h) Yard/Garage Sale Signs. One sign indicating that a <br />yard sale or garage sale is being conducted, shall be permitted
