M.V. ORDINANCE N0. 85-16 <br />Page -16- <br />not exceeding six (6) square feet in area or three <br />(3) feet in height above natural grade shall be <br />allowed on the property to be placed facing the <br />additional frontage. All such signs shall be located <br />not less than ten (10) feet from any lot line. <br />(ii) One sign of permanent construction, not <br />exceeding six (6) feet in height above natural grade <br />or twelve (12) square feet in total area per side, <br />identifying any building or contiguous buildings under <br />common ownership shall be permitted. The sign may be <br />attached to the building or be placed in front of the <br />building, but located not less than fifteen (15) feet <br />from any lot line. <br />(f) Security Signs. Security signs may only be of a <br />type which are readily affixed to a window, such as a sticker <br />or decal, and may be no more than fif teen (15) square inches <br />in area. <br />(g) Street Number Signs. Two (2) street number signs <br />not exceeding two (2) square feet in area shall be permitted <br />for each bailding. Such signs shall be located not less than <br />ten (10) feet from the nearest property line and shall not <br />be over five (5) feet above ground. For purposes of this <br />Section, one sign inclicating the name of a builcling shall be <br />permitted which shall not exceed f our (4) square feet in <br />area and attached to the building. <br />(h) Rental and lease signs are prohibited. <br />1185.14 Local Business anc3 Small Office Building Districts. <br />Accessory signs and local business and small office building <br />districts shall be clesigned, erected, altered, moved and maintained, <br />in whole or in part, in accordance with these regulations. <br />(a) Functional Types Permitted. Business signs, <br />development signs of a temporary nature, directional signs, <br />directory signs, identification signs, nameplates, real estate <br />signs, security signs anc3 such other functional types as are <br />specifically permitted by this Chapter shall be allowed. <br />(b) Structural Types Permitted. Canopy, ground, wall, <br />and directory signs shall be permitted. <br />(c) Maximum Area anc3 Number Permitted. <br />(i) Maximum Sign Face Area. The maximum sign face <br />area of all permanent signs permitted for each separate <br />use occupying a building or unit of a building shall be <br />related to the frontage of the building or unit thereof,
