ORDINANCE N0. 86- 9 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole - <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1(A)(3) OF <br />ORDINANCE N0. 85-27 PERTAINING TO WAGES <br />FOR EMPLOYEES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT <br />HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the .Council of Mayfield Village., Ohio, has <br />previously enacted Ordinance No. 85-27 on December 23, 1985 <br />establishing wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of <br />employment for employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, since the enactment of Ordinance No. 85-27 the <br />municipality has been compelled to comply with certain provisions of <br />the Fair Labor Standards Act pertaining to the payment of overtime for <br />municipal employees, including members of the safety forces; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to clarify the hourly rate for payment of <br />overtime to firefighters it is necessary to enact this Ordinance; now, <br />therf ore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Effective April 18, 1986 and retroactive <br />thereto, Section 1(A)(3) of Ordinance No. 85=27 is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: (Deleted material appears like this and new <br />material appears like THIS) <br />Section 1. Effective January 1, 1986, the wages, <br />benefits and other. terms and conditions of employment for <br />employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio, shall be as follows: <br />(A) Wages. <br /> <br />3.
