ORDINANCE N0. 86-.27. <br />INTROD~JCED BY: Councilman Santo Basile <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 529.02(j) OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO THE CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING <br />LIQUOR OR BEER ON RESIDENTIAL PREMISES AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, on June 20, <br />1983, enacted Ordinance No. 83-14, amending the liquor control laws of <br />Mayfield Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid Ordinance, in part, addressed the <br />issue of minors consuming alcoholic beverages on residential premises; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />have now determined that additional prohibitions against the <br />consumption of alcoholic beverages on residential premises by minors <br />needs to be included within the liquor control laws of Mayfield <br />Village, Ohio; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 529.02(j) of the Codified Ordinances <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby enacted to read as follows: <br />(Deleted material appears like ~h~s and new material appears <br />like THIS) <br />Chapter 529 <br />Liquor Control <br /> <br />529.02 Sales to Minors; Prohibitions and Misrepresentations. <br /> <br />(i) No person being the owner or occupant of any <br />premises located within the Village shall knowingly allow <br />any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to remain <br />on such premises while in the possession of intoxicating <br />liquor or while consuming intoxicating liquor, or allow <br />any person under the age of nineteen (19) years to remain <br />on such premises while in the possession of beer or while <br />consuming beer, in violation of this Chapter. <br />(j) NO PERSON BEING THE OWNER OR OCCUPANT OF ANY <br />RESIDENTIAL PREMISES LOCATED WITHIN THE VILLAGE SHALL <br />NEGLIGENTLY ALLOW ANY PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY (21) <br />YEARS TO REMAIN ON SUCH PREMISES WHILE IN THE POSSESSION <br />OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR OR WHILE CONSUMING INTOXICATING <br />
