INTROD~JCED BY: Councilman Santo Basile AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 529.02(j) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO THE CONSUMPTION OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR OR BEER ON RESIDENTIAL PREMISES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, on June 20, 1983, enacted Ordinance No. 83-14, amending the liquor control laws of Mayfield Village; and WHEREAS, the aforesaid Ordinance, in part, addressed the issue of minors consuming alcoholic beverages on residential premises; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, have now determined that additional prohibitions against the consumption of alcoholic beverages on residential premises by minors needs to be included within the liquor control laws of Mayfield Village, Ohio; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Section 529.02(j) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby enacted to read as follows: (Deleted material appears like ~h~s and new material appears like THIS) Chapter 529 Liquor Control 529.02 Sales to Minors; Prohibitions and Misrepresentations. (i) No person being the owner or occupant of any premises located within the Village shall knowingly allow any person under the age of twenty one (21) years to remain on such premises while in the possession of intoxicating liquor or while consuming intoxicating liquor, or allow any person under the age of nineteen (19) years to remain on such premises while in the possession of beer or while consuming beer, in violation of this Chapter. (j) NO PERSON BEING THE OWNER OR OCCUPANT OF ANY RESIDENTIAL PREMISES LOCATED WITHIN THE VILLAGE SHALL NEGLIGENTLY ALLOW ANY PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF TWENTY (21) YEARS TO REMAIN ON SUCH PREMISES WHILE IN THE POSSESSION OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR OR WHILE CONSUMING INTOXICATING
