M.V. ORDINANCE NOe 87-28 <br />Page -2- <br />regular election held in the municipality or shall cause the full text <br />of the proposed Charter Amendment to be published once a week for not <br />less than two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circula- <br />tion in the municipality with the first publication being at least <br />fif teen (15) days prior to the election. <br />Section_5 That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council ana of its committees, resulting in such <br />f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 6. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the proposed Charter Amendment presented herein must <br />be timely filed with the Board of Elections in accordance with current <br />Ohio law in order to allow the electorate the opportunity to vote <br />thereon.
