Such cabinet <br />or saf e shall be of a type approved f or such <br />purpose by the Chief of Police. <br />(c) No person shall keep, store or display for sale any <br />explosives or fireworks except in such place andd under such <br />conditions as are first approved by the Chief of Police and the <br />Fire Chief. <br />(d) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section <br />is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. Punishment shall be as <br />provided in Section 501.99. <br />549.16 Recorcis of Sales. <br />(a) Any person who sells any firearm, air gun, B-B gun, <br />knife with a blade longer than two and one-half inches, other <br />weapon, ammunition or explosive shall make and keep a permanent <br />written record of such sale. The record shall contain the name, <br />age and address of the purchaser; the date of the sale; a full <br />and complete description of the article sold; the manufacturer's <br />name, trade or brand name; the serial number of article; the <br />quantities of such articles sold; and the signature of the <br />purchaser. <br />(b) A complete copy of the record of the sale bearing the <br />name, address, signature and permit number of the purchaser, and <br />the name, address and permit number of the seller, shall be <br />delivered to the Chief of Police by 12:00 noon of the business <br />day next following the date of such sale. In addition, the <br />seller shall obtain from the purchaser and attach to the sales <br />report the permit for the purchase of such weapon or other <br />articl e. <br />(c) No person who purchases any such article shall give or <br />cause to be given any information which is required under this <br />section, which inf ormation is false. <br />(d) Whoever violates or fails to comply with any of the <br />provisions of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the <br />first degree. Punishment shall be as provided in Section 501.99. <br />Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this <br />ordinance in whole or in part are hereby repealed to the extent <br />necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinanceo <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />f ormal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Codeo
