ORDINANCE N0. 87-32 (AS ANiENDED) TNTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1309.07 AND ENACTING NEW SECTION 1309.20 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYF IELD V ILLAG E, OH IO, PERTAIN ING TO PERMITS AND FEES, REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, in order for the Village to determine whether or not applications for development of property within the municipality are in conformance with all of the Codified Ordinances of the munici- pality, it is necessary to refer plans, specifications, profiles, variance requests and other related documents and data to the Building Commissioner,.Village Engineer and Director of Law for review; and WHEREAS, the Building Commissioner is spending ever increasing amounts of time in providing inspections for properties being developed within the municipality; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that it is both improper and unreasonable for the taxpayers of the municipality to continue to pay the costs of the services rendered by Village employees on behalf of private individuals or corporations developing privately owned land; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that it is in the best interests of the municipality to require such private individuals or corporations to reimburse the Village for the aforesaid services rendered by its employees, and in so doing to require that deposits for payment of such services be made in advance of rendering same; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1, Section 1309.07 of the Codified Ordinances of Nayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material appears like this and new material appears like THIS) 1309m07 Charge for Professional Services. In addition to any other fees or deposits required by this or any other ordinance of the Municipality, the Building Commissioner shall charge and collect a deposit of i-zfty TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250 .00 ) to reimburse the Municipality for expenses incurred for additional or supplemental engineering, legal or other professional services rendered, which the Municipality, Council, or any commissions deem necessary as a part of its consideration of any application for a building permit; to review preliminary or final site development plans or in the consideration of an application for rezoning.
