ORDINANCE N0. 87-32 (AS ANiENDED) <br />TNTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1309.07 AND ENACTING <br />NEW SECTION 1309.20 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF <br />MAYF IELD V ILLAG E, OH IO, PERTAIN ING TO PERMITS AND <br />FEES, REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT <br />HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, in order for the Village to determine whether or <br />not applications for development of property within the municipality <br />are in conformance with all of the Codified Ordinances of the munici- <br />pality, it is necessary to refer plans, specifications, profiles, <br />variance requests and other related documents and data to the Building <br />Commissioner,.Village Engineer and Director of Law for review; and <br />WHEREAS, the Building Commissioner is spending ever <br />increasing amounts of time in providing inspections for properties <br />being developed within the municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have determined that it is <br />both improper and unreasonable for the taxpayers of the municipality <br />to continue to pay the costs of the services rendered by Village <br />employees on behalf of private individuals or corporations developing <br />privately owned land; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that <br />it is in the best interests of the municipality to require such <br />private individuals or corporations to reimburse the Village for the <br />aforesaid services rendered by its employees, and in so doing to <br />require that deposits for payment of such services be made in advance <br />of rendering same; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1, Section 1309.07 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Nayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted <br />material appears like this and new material appears like THIS) <br />1309m07 Charge for Professional Services. <br />In addition to any other fees or deposits required by <br />this or any other ordinance of the Municipality, the Building <br />Commissioner shall charge and collect a deposit of i-zfty <br />TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250 .00 ) to <br />reimburse the Municipality for expenses incurred for additional <br />or supplemental engineering, legal or other professional <br />services rendered, which the Municipality, Council, or any <br />commissions deem necessary as a part of its consideration of <br />any application for a building permit; to review preliminary <br />or final site development plans or in the consideration of <br />an application for rezoning. <br />(a) The charges for professional services of the Muni- <br />cipal Engineer, Law Director or other professional
