^Repealed by Ord. 88-13 - 5/16/88 <br />ORDINANCE NOo 87-34 (AS AMENDED) <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council President Santo Basile <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTIONS 139.021 AND 141.07 <br />OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD V ILLAGE, <br />OH IO, PERTAIN ING TO TRAIN ING OF POL ICE OFF ICERS <br />AND FIREFIGHTERS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br />INCONSISTENT HEREWITH. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF NTAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATo <br />Section 1. There is hereby enacted Sections 139.021 and <br />141.07 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, which <br />shall read as follows: <br />Chapter 139 <br />Police Department <br /> <br />139.021 Contract <br />Contemporaneous with their original appointments to the <br />Police Department of Mayfield Village, Ohio, all original <br />appointees from and after the effective date of this Section <br />shall execute an agreement, as approved by the Director of Law, <br />with the municipality such that in the event the appointee <br />voluntarily terminates his employment with the municipality <br />within one (1) year following the clate of his appointment <br />such appointee shall reimburse the municipality for all sums <br />paid to provide the appointee with the instruction and training <br />required by the Ohio Revised Code to attain the status of <br />police officer. In the event the appointee fails to reimburse <br />the municipality as required herein, the Director of Law is <br />hereby authorized to commence a civil action in a court of <br />competent jurisdiction to collect any sums due the municipality. <br />The agreement to be 'executed by and between the municipality <br />and the appointees as required in this Section sha11 not <br />abrogate any rights accorded such appointees by the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Civil Service Commission of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio. <br />Chapter 141 <br />Fire Department <br />JC 7C ?C <br />141.07 Contract <br />Contemporaneous with their original appointments to the <br />Fire Department of Mayfield Village, Ohio, all original
