V o ORDINANCE N0. 87- 34 Page -2- appointees from and after the effective date of this Section shall execute an agreement, as approved by the Director of Law, with the municipality such that in the event the appointee voluntarily terminates his employment with the municipality within one (1) year following the date of his appointment such appointee shall reimburse the municipality for all sums paid to provide the appointee with the instruction and training required by the Ohio Revised Code to attain the status of firefighter. In the event the appointee fails to reimburse the municipality as required herein, the Director of Law is hereby authorized to commence a civil action in a court of competent jurisdiction to collect any sums due the municipality. The agreement to be executed by and between the municipality and the appointees as required in this Section shall not abrogate any rights accorded such appointees by the Rules and Regulations of the Civil Service Commission of Mayfield Village, Ohio. Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinancee Section 3e That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. Section 4,.
