M. V o ORDINANCE N0. 87- 34 <br />Page -2- <br />appointees from and after the effective date of this Section <br />shall execute an agreement, as approved by the Director of Law, <br />with the municipality such that in the event the appointee <br />voluntarily terminates his employment with the municipality <br />within one (1) year following the date of his appointment <br />such appointee shall reimburse the municipality for all sums <br />paid to provide the appointee with the instruction and training <br />required by the Ohio Revised Code to attain the status of <br />firefighter. In the event the appointee fails to reimburse <br />the municipality as required herein, the Director of Law is <br />hereby authorized to commence a civil action in a court of <br />competent jurisdiction to collect any sums due the municipality. <br />The agreement to be executed by and between the municipality <br />and the appointees as required in this Section shall not <br />abrogate any rights accorded such appointees by the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Civil Service Commission of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio. <br />Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this <br />ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to <br />avoid conflict with this ordinancee <br />Section 3e That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4,.
