ORDINANCE N0. 87- 46 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW SECTION 133.02 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />DEALING WITH THE PETTY CASH FUND, REPEALING <br />EXISTING SECTION 133.02 AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCYo <br />WHEREAS, the Auditor of State is phasing in the mandate that <br />local governments prepare an annual financial report using generally <br />accepted accounting principles applicable to governments; and <br />6VHEREAS, the Council has enacted Ordinance No. 87-39, an <br />Ordinance establishing the number and classification of funds for <br />tlayfield Village; and <br />WHEREAS, the need exists to classify and define Petty Cash <br />Accounts of Mayfield Village; nowo therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUiVCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1 There is hereby enacted Section 133.02 of the <br />Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, which shall read as <br />followse <br />Chapter 133 <br />Finance Director <br /> <br />133.02 Petty Cash Fund <br />(a) Petty Cash or Impressed Cash is a sum of money <br />set aside for the purpose of making change or paying small <br />obligations for which the issuance of a formal voucher, <br />purchase order and check woulcl be too expensive and time- <br />consuming. <br />(b) The following are the authorized Petty Cash Accounts <br />for the Village of Mayfield: <br />(1) Finance Department <br />(2) Service ancl Building Department <br />(per Section 137.02) <br />(3) Police Department <br />(4) Police "Flash Account'° <br />(5) Investigative "Flash Account" <br />$ 150.00 <br />100.00 <br />100.00 <br />500.00 <br />200.00 <br />Total Petty Cash $1,050.00
