(Deleted) <br />RDHC 1573.02 STUDS IN WOOD NON-BEARING PARTITIONS. <br />(Amended) <br />Studs in non-bearing partitions shall be continuous <br />lengths without splicing. In non-bearing wood parti- <br />tions, the studs shall be not less than 2 x 4s (4-inch <br />thickness) with spacing as determined by type of inte- <br />rior finish, but not to exceed 16 inches. <br />RDHC 1573.03 FRAMING OPENINGS IN WOOD NON-BEARING <br />PARTITIONS. (Deleted) <br />RDHC 1575.11 ROOF SHEATHING. (Amended) <br />(c) PLYWOOD SHEATHING. Plywood roof sheathing <br />shall comply with Section 1545.08. Exterior type <br />shall be used where any surface or edge is continu- <br />ally exposed to the weather. Plywood sheathing shall <br />be installed with outer plies at right angles to rafters <br />and joints and end joints staggered over supports. Nail <br />sheathing at each bearing 6 inches o.c. along all edges <br />and 12 inches o.c. along intermediate members. Use 6d <br />common or 5d threaded nails for fastening the sheathing. <br />When rafters or trusses are placed 16 inches o.c., then <br />one-half inch CDX plywood shall be required. When <br />rafters or trusses are placed 24 inches o.c., then 5/8th <br />inch CDX plywood must be applied. In all cases, sheet <br />separators are required in the application of roof <br />sheathing. <br />RDHC 1581.02 INSTALLATION OF SIDINGS. (Added) <br />(e) BARRIER BETWEEN SHEATHING AND SIDING. Siding <br />shall be installed over sheathing provided that building <br />paper, polyetholene sheet or Styrofoam barrier shall be <br />applied between the sheathing and siding. <br />
