<br />ORDINANCE NO. 78- 29 - 5- <br />L <br />regularly scheduled work day immediately preceding or immediately fol- <br />lowin9 such holiday, he shall not be entitled to compensation for the <br />holiday not worked. If an employee's work schedule is other than <br />Monday through Friday, he shall be entitled to a day's regular pay for <br />a holiday observed on his day off, regardless of the day of the week on <br />which it is observed. <br />(c) Compensation for holidays worked. If a full-time employee <br />works on one of the above-designated holidays, he shall receive two times <br />his regular rate of pay for that day and in addition, shall be entitled <br />to another day off with his regular rate of pay, the day to be selected <br />by his administrative superior. <br />(d) This section shall be retroactive as of June 1, 1971, <br />inasmuch as the purpose thereof is to bring the rules as to holiday pay <br />in conformity with the provisions of Section 143.12 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code, as was the intention of Council previously, although not clearly <br />expressed in the previous ordinances. <br />Section S. Hospitalization and Medical Coverage <br />(a) Effective June 26, 1976, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of <br />Northeast Ohio premiums for hospitalization and medical coverage for <br />employees insured under the present contract shall be paid by the <br />municipality. The premium to be paid shall be at the rate established <br />for the "High Level Benefit Plan". <br />(b) Employees of the municipality not presently insured under <br />the existing "High Level Benefit Plan" and new employees of the munici- <br />pality may join the plan at such intervals as may be authorized by Blue <br />Cross and Blue Shield of Northeast Ohio, subject to the approval of the <br />Mayor and Finance Director. <br />Section 9. Overtime. Overtime will be paid in accordance <br />with the Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended. <br />Section 10. Repeal. Effective June 24, 1978, Ordinance Nos. <br />72-3, 77-12, 77-22, 77-29 and 77-35 are hereby repealed. <br />Section 11. E?me?rgen_cy. .
