ORDINANCE NO. 79-34 Page -4- <br />(f) Each full-time member of the Service Department shall <br />be reimbursed for work clothing purchased in an amount not to exceed <br />$150.00 per year. The Finance Director is authorized to make such <br />distributions during January of each year. Receipted bills evidencing <br />the purchases will be submitted to the Building Commissioner for his <br />approval and then on to the Finance Director for payment. The uniform <br />allowance may also be used for uniform maintenance. <br />(g) Each full-time firefighter shall have his or her work <br />and dress uniform purchased by the Village through the Fire Chief <br />at his discretion. Each full-time firefighter shall also receive <br />$50.00 for uniform maintenance payable by the Village Finance Director <br />in January of each year. <br />Section 4. Longevity Schedule <br />Each employee of the municipality shall be entitled to <br />longevity pay increases in accordance with the following schedule: <br />(a) For not less than five (5) years or more than ten (10) <br />years' service, $15.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(b) For not less than ten (10) years nor more than fifteen <br />(15) years' service, $30.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(c) For not less than fifteen (15) years nor more than twenty <br />(20) years' service, $45.00 additional compensation per month. <br />(d) For more than twenty (20) years' service, $60.00 addi- <br />tional compensation per month. <br />Section 5. Vacation Schedule <br />(a) After one (1) year of employment, each employee shall <br />receive one (1) week's paid vacati9n per year. <br />(b) After two (2) years of employment, each employee shall <br />receive two (2j weeks' paid vacation per year. <br />(c} After ten (10) years of employment, each employee shall <br />receive three (3} weeks' paid vacation per year. <br />(d) After fifteen (15) years of employment, each employee <br />shall receive four (4) weeks' paid vacation per year. <br />(e)" After twenty (20) years of employment, each employee <br />shall receive five (5) weeks' paid vacation per year. <br />(f) The head of each department shall determine the schedule <br />of vacations for the employees thereof. <br />(g) Vacations shall not be cumulative, but must be taken <br />within the year earned. <br />Section 6. Optional Holiday <br />Each employee shall be entitled to three (3) "optional days" <br />as a paid holiday in addition to those paid holidays authorized by <br />ordinance, subject to the approval of the employee's Department Head.
