-5- <br />(1) Certificate of Approval. <br />There shall be no additional fee for certificates of approval of <br />plumbing, gas, piping, or electrical work performed under permit <br />for such work. <br />(m) License Fees. <br />The annual fee for a plumber's license or sewer builder's license <br />or such other building trades or occupations as may be placed under <br />requirement of registration, licensing, or certification by the <br />regulations of the Board of Building Code Appeals shall be 10.00 <br />(n) Fee for Setting Grade. <br />Whenever the Building Official is in doubt concerning the setting of <br />the grade for any construction, he shall have the right to require <br />the owner or appropriate permit holder to deposit the sum of $35.00 <br />with the Clerk, which sum shall go into the general fund of the Village, <br />and in such case to call upon the Village Engineer to set the grade, <br />and the Village Engineer shall be paid the sum of $35.00 from the general <br />fund of the Village for such services in each instance. <br />(o) In addition to the permit and license fees specified in this ordinance, <br />the following fees shall be charged to the holder of the permit covering <br />the particular kind of work to be inspected for any additional inspec- <br />tions made by the Building Official or any of his assistants, in order <br />to secure compliance with the ordinances of the Village of Mayfield <br />governing construction, alteration, additions to, demolition or removal <br />of buildings and parts thereof: <br />First additional inspection 10.00 <br />Subsequent inspections 15.00 <br />Section 2. Any person, firm or corporation obtaining a permit to construct <br />a new building shall at the time of issuance thereof deposit with the Building <br />Official the sum of $500 in case of a single or two-family dwelling house, or a com- <br />mercial or industrial building, and $25.00 per dwelling unit (but not more than <br />$500 per building) in case of an apartment building of any kind, which sum shall be <br />paid into the Treasury of the Village. The amount of said cash deposit shall be <br />returned by the Clerk to the permit holder when the building has been approved on <br />final inspection. Provided, however, that if in the process of such construction any <br />damage has been done by the permit holder or any of his contractors, sub-contractors, <br />agents or employees, or others under his control, to the public highways or other <br />public property or the property of other persons, the amount of such damage as cal- <br />culated by the Building Official, together with any unpaid permit or inspection fees, <br />shall be deducted from the amount of such deposit to be returned. Provided, however, <br />that the insufficiency of such deposit to compensate for any such damage shall not <br />relieve the permit holder or anyone else from liability for payment of any excess. <br />Section 3. In addition to any other fees or deposits required by this or any <br />other ordinance of the Village, the Building Official shall charge and collect a <br />
