<br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CURFEW FOR MINORS UbTDER THE
<br />AGE OF EIGHTEEN YEARS, DEFINING DUTIES OF PARENTS OR
<br />OTHERS HAVING THE RESPONSIBILITY EOR THE CARE AND CUSTODY
<br />OF MINORS, REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 712 AND DECLARING
<br />AN EMERGENCY
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY,
<br />OHIO, THAT:
<br />Section 1. No child under the age of 12 years shall loiter, idle, wander,
<br />stroll, play, or be present in or upon the public streets, sidewalks, highways,
<br />roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, and
<br />public buildings, places of amusement, recreation and entertainment, vacant lots,
<br />business establishments (whether open Por business or not), or other unsupervised
<br />places in the Village of Mayfield from the hours of sunset to sunrise.
<br />Section 2. No child 13, 14 or 15 years of age or under shall loiter, idle,
<br />wander, stroll, play, or be present in or upon the public streets, sidewalks, highways,
<br />roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, and
<br />public,buildings, places of amusement, recreation and entertainment, vacant lots,
<br />business establishments (whether open for business or not), or other unsupervised
<br />places in the Village of Mayfield between the hours of 11:00 p.m.and 6:00 a.m.
<br />local time.
<br />Section 3. No child 16 or 17 years of age or under shall loiter, idle,
<br />wander, stroll, play, or be present in or upon the public streets, sidewalks, highways,
<br />roads, alleys, parks, playgrounds, or other public grounds, public places, and
<br />public buildings, places of amusement, recreation and entertainment, vacant lots,
<br />business establishments (whether open for business or not), or other unsupervised
<br />places in the Village of Mayfield between the hours of 12 midnight and 6:00 a.m.
<br />local time.
<br />Section 4. The provisions of Sections 1, 2 and 3 of this Ordinance shall
<br />not apply to a minor accompanied by a parent, guardian, responsible person, or a
<br />member of his family 18 years of age or older.
<br />Section 5. No parent or guardian of any child, whom by virtue of his or her
<br />age is subject to the provisions of this Ordinance, shall allow such child to loiter,
<br />idle, wander, stroll, play, or be present in or upon the public streets, sidewalks,
<br />highways, roads, alleys, parks, playground, or other public grounds, public places,
<br />and public buildings, places of amusement, recreation and entertainment, vacant lots,
<br />business establishments (whether open for business or not), or other unsupervised
<br />places in the Village of Mayfield between the hours specified herein.
