BY-LAWS OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE AUXILIARY POLICE UNIT <br />ARTICLE I <br />MEETINGS OF MEMBERSHIP <br />Sec. 1.1 Business meetings shall be held once a month as directed <br />by the President of the Unit. <br />Sec. 1.2 Special meetings or training sessions for the members may <br />be called by the President or at the request of the Chief <br />of Police. No business other than that specified in the <br />call be considered at any special meeting. <br />ARTICLE II <br />OFFICER3. <br />Sec. 2.1 The membership shall elect a president and such officers <br />as may be desired by the membership at the annual meeting <br />held for this purpose which shall occur at the regular <br />monthly meeting in December of each year. <br />ARTICLE III <br />DUTIES OF OFFICERS <br />Sec. 3.1 The president shall exercise supervision over the business <br />of the Unit. He shall preside at all meetings. Any <br />vacancy created in any appointed office shall be filled <br />by an appointment of the president within 30 days of the <br />date of such vacancy. <br />Sec. 3.2 A vacancy created in any elective office shall be filled <br />by a special election for that purpose within 30 days of the <br />date of such vacancy. Notice in writing of the date and <br />time of such election shall be served upon all members of <br />the Unit in good standing. <br />Sec. 3.3 The liaison officer (secretary-treasurer) shall keep <br />minutes of all proceedings and shall make a proper record <br />of the same which shall be attested by him. He shall have <br />general supervision of all finances and shall do with the <br />same as may from time to time be required by proper reso- <br />lution of the members or officers. He shall cause to be <br />kept accurate and correct accounts of the transactions of <br />the Unit, including accounts of its assets, liabilities, <br />receipts, disbursements, together which such accounts as <br />may be required, and upon the expiration of his term of <br />office shall turn over to his successor all property, <br />books, papers and money of the unit in his hands; and he <br />shall perform such other duties as from time to time may <br />be assigned to him by the president.
