-2- <br />ARTICLE IV <br />FINANCIAL RECORDS AND DISBURSES'tENTS <br />Sec. 4.1 Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit sha11 approve, by <br />majority vote, all invoices before payment by the liaison <br />officer, unless the expenditure was previously approved <br />under Section 4.2. <br />Sec. 4.2 Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit shall be notiPied <br />of all contemplated expenditures of $50.00 or more. At <br />a meeting called for the purpose of approving such expen- <br />diture or by writing approving such expenditure, such <br />expenditure may be authorized. <br />Sec. 4.3 The liaison officer shall submit a year-end fiscal report <br />for the consideration and approval of the membership at <br />the regular meeting held in December of each year. The <br />membership at all times is authorized to cause an audit <br />to be made of the financial records of the liaison officer. <br />Approval of the fiscal report shall not deprive the member- <br />ship to conduct a formal audit. <br />ARTICI;E V <br />MEMBERSHIP <br />Sec. 5.1 Application for membership shall be made on forms which <br />shall be available at all times at the principal office <br />of the Mayfield Village Department of Police. The form <br />of the application shall be approved by the Chief of <br />Police and may from time to time be modified. <br />Sec. 5.2 A probationary period of one year is established Por <br />original appointments to the Auxiliary Police Unit. Pro- <br />bationary members of the Unit shall not be entitled to <br />vote at regular or special meetings of the Unit, however, <br />they shall be privileged to express their views. <br />Sec. 5.3 Only persons over the age of 21 years shall be eligible <br />for appointment to the Auxiliary Police Unit. <br />Sec. 5.4 Any member of the Auxiliary Police Unit may terminate his <br />appointment by submitting a resignation in writing to the <br />President of the Unit, who shall promptly inform the <br />Chief of Police and Mayor of the receipt of the resignation. <br />The resignation shall be effective upon delivery to the <br />President of the Unit.
