-2- ARTICLE IV FINANCIAL RECORDS AND DISBURSES'tENTS Sec. 4.1 Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit sha11 approve, by majority vote, all invoices before payment by the liaison officer, unless the expenditure was previously approved under Section 4.2. Sec. 4.2 Members of the Auxiliary Police Unit shall be notiPied of all contemplated expenditures of $50.00 or more. At a meeting called for the purpose of approving such expen- diture or by writing approving such expenditure, such expenditure may be authorized. Sec. 4.3 The liaison officer shall submit a year-end fiscal report for the consideration and approval of the membership at the regular meeting held in December of each year. The membership at all times is authorized to cause an audit to be made of the financial records of the liaison officer. Approval of the fiscal report shall not deprive the member- ship to conduct a formal audit. ARTICI;E V MEMBERSHIP Sec. 5.1 Application for membership shall be made on forms which shall be available at all times at the principal office of the Mayfield Village Department of Police. The form of the application shall be approved by the Chief of Police and may from time to time be modified. Sec. 5.2 A probationary period of one year is established Por original appointments to the Auxiliary Police Unit. Pro- bationary members of the Unit shall not be entitled to vote at regular or special meetings of the Unit, however, they shall be privileged to express their views. Sec. 5.3 Only persons over the age of 21 years shall be eligible for appointment to the Auxiliary Police Unit. Sec. 5.4 Any member of the Auxiliary Police Unit may terminate his appointment by submitting a resignation in writing to the President of the Unit, who shall promptly inform the Chief of Police and Mayor of the receipt of the resignation. The resignation shall be effective upon delivery to the President of the Unit.
