<br />ORDINANCE N0. 72- 33 <br />BY: Mr. ~ogpr <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 53 OF ORDINANCE N0. 309, <br />THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, AS <br />AMENDED BY ORDINANCE N0. 72-23 PERTAINING TO PARKING OF <br />VEHICLES. <br />Be It Ordained By The Council of The Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Section 53 of Ordinance No. 309, being an ordinance to <br />regulate traffic on the streets and public highways in the Village of Mayfield, <br />as amended by Ordinance No. 72-23, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 53. Parkins Rules: No persons shall stand or park a vehicle, <br />except when necessary to avoid conflict with other traffic or with the <br />provisions of this Ordinance or a state law, or while obeying the <br />directions of a police officer or a traffic control device, in any <br />of the following places: (A) on a sidewalk, except a bicycle; <br />(B) in front of a public or private driveway; (C) within an inter- <br />section; (D) within ten feet of afire hydrant; (E) on a crosswalk; <br />(F) within twenty feet of a crosswalk; (G) within thiity feet of any <br />flashing beacon, stop sign, .or other traffic control device; (H) between <br />a safety zone and the adjacent curb, or within thirty feet of points <br />on the curb immediately opposite the ends of a safety zone, unless a <br />different length is indicated by a traffic control device; (I) within <br />twenty feet of a driveway entrance to any fire station , and, on the <br />side of the street opposite the entrance to any fire station, within <br />75 feet of either side of the entrance; (J) alongside or opposite any <br />street excavation or obstruction when such standing or parking vehicle <br />would obstruct traffic; (K) alongside any vehicle stopped qr parked <br />at the edge or curb of a street; (L)iapon any bridge or elevated <br />structure upon a highway, or within a highway tunnel; (M) at any place <br />where signs prohibit stopping; (N) within one foot of another parked <br />vehicle; (0) on the roadway portion of a freeway, expressway, or <br />throughway; (P) on the side of any street where fire hydrants are <br />located; (Q) between the sidewalk and the roadway, or treelawn, or upon <br />the center strip of any freeway, expressway, or boulevard street, or <br />in a traffic island; (R) in any fire lane on public or private property <br />which has been duly designated and posted as such by the police department <br />or the fire department of the Village of Mayfield; (S) on any street or <br />highway in the Village of Mayfield at any time when the Mayor shall <br />determine and make a written finding that there exists on any such <br />street or highway two inched or more of snow in depth, which require <br />that said street or highway shall be plowed with equipment in order <br />to make such street useable for vehicular traffic; (T) wherever the <br />Chief of Police determines that there is a traffic hazard and causes <br />signs to be posted advising that no parking or stopping is permittefl; <br />
