LJ <br /> <br />~~ <br />Q <br />b <br />V <br />LsJ <br />Q <br />0 <br />0 <br />m <br />c: <br />~~ <br />r <br />W <br />(n <br />LsJ <br />(Z <br />,~ <br />G~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 1044 <br />BY: rir Davis <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EMPLOYMENT <br />OF AN ENGINEER FOR THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, <br />OHIO, THAT: <br />Sec. 1. Harold P. Peterson is hereby employed and appointed as <br />Engineer for the Village of Mayfield until December 31st, 1968, such em- <br />ployment to be terminable by either the Village or said Engineer upon 90 <br />days written notice to the other. However, all work, if same is being pro- <br />cessed in a manner satisfactory to the Village shall be completed by the <br />ENGINEER and the services therefor paid by the VILLAGE in accordance with <br />the terms hereof. <br />Sec. 2. Said Harold P. Peterson shall be compensated as follows, <br />and the Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Agree- <br />ment in writing with said Harold P. Peterson, whereby he will be paid on <br />the following basis: <br />Sec. 2a. If the proceedings for any improvements are completed <br />according to the usual schedule, as provided by law, so that the bids are <br />received and a contract is awarded, he shall be paid a sum equal to seventy- <br />five percent (75%) of the amount listed in Sec. 2b; as the work progresses, <br />he shall receive additional compensation equal to the balance of the fee <br />listed in Sec. 2b; said sum to be paid at the time the contractor's estimates, <br />upon which his payment is based, are presented for payment. Before the final <br />estimate for the work is issued, any adjustment shall then be made so that <br />the total fee paid him shall be equal to the percentages listed in Sec. 2b. <br />Sec. 2b. That for such services in connection with construction of <br />public improvements, he shall receive compensation on a percentage for the <br />actual cost of construction of all improvements made by the Council and un- <br />der their control. The percentage paid shall be in accordance with the fol- <br />lowing schedule based upon the Minimum Fees for General Engineering Services <br />recommended by the Ohio Society of Professional Engineers in their publica- <br />tion "Code of Professional Practice" as revised in 1967. <br />General Engineering Projects - Schedule 1 <br />Airports and Facilities <br />Bridges and Grade Separation <br />Structures <br />Foundations <br />Dams and Hydraulic Structures <br />Highways and City Streets <br />Incinerators <br />Intercepting, Relief, Storm or <br />Sanitary Sewers <br />Outside Electrical Installations <br />Railway and Bus Terminals <br />Electrical Transmission and <br />Distribution Facilities <br />Tunnels and Caissons <br />Ground or Underground Water <br />Storage Facilities <br />Waterfront and Terminal <br />Improvements <br />Water Sewage and Industrial <br />Treatment Plants <br />
