% 7 By; Mr ORDINANCE NUPiBER 1047 DAVIS AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF BUILDING INSPECTOR & SERVICE DIRECTOR, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERS 921, 956, 992, 1037, AND 1042 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF HAYFIELD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. There is hereby created the position of Building In- spector and Service Director, who shall be appointed by the :fayor, by and with the consent of Council, for a period of one year. The present Building Inspector shall serve as Building Inspector and Service Director for the balance of the year 1968, when a yearly appointment will be made. Section 2. The Building Inspector and Service Director shall have the following duties: (a) To prepare all building permits and certificates required by the Ordinances of the Village of Mayfield, collect the permit fees provided by law, giving receipts therefor and paying same into the Village treasury, make inspections of buildings and alterations, report violations of the building codes to the Mayor, assist in the enforcement of the building codes, and perform all duties assigned to the building official under the building codes. (b) To be in charge of the Village Hall and other Village buildings. (c) To supervise the collection of rubbish and garbage. (d) To supervise the maintenance, operation and repair of sewer pumps., and roads. (e) To attend meetings of the Safety and Service Committee and the Planning and Zoning Commission, when requested. (f) To perform such other duties as are commonly incident to a municipal service department. Section 3. The Building Inspector and Service Director shall be compensated for his services at the rate of $8,100.00 per year, beginning as of March 1, 1968, but his compensation may be changed at any time by Council. The Village shall also pay to Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio, Inc., the premiums for hospitalization and medical mutual insurance for the Building Inspector and Service Director. { ~.
