~~~ <br />b. <br />of any use whenever a building is constructed or altered. <br />1, Standards and Design -Parking Facilities <br />a. Off-street parking spaces, not less than the following facilities <br />shall be provided whenever a new use is hereafter established, <br />an existing building is altered which results in an increase in <br />floor area of building, or whenever the use of an existing building <br />ie changed. <br />Motels: one space for each lodging unit plus ten <br />additional spaces for each motel. <br />Eating and Assembly Facilities: one space for each four <br />seats, plus ten additional spaces for each facility. <br />Office, Laboratories, Production and Distribution <br />r.ataousnments: one space for .eacn i. a employees or <br />one apace for every 500 square feet of building area, <br />whichever provides the greater number of spaces. <br />b. Location and Size <br />I _ ~ The facilities shall be located on the same lot ae the main building <br />or use served. Each parking space shall be not lees than 190 <br />square feet, 9-1/2 feet x 20 feet,, exclusive of drives and turning <br />spaces. Parking facilities shall be provided on the same lot as <br />the main use served in industrialdistricta. Wherever the applica- <br />tion of the standards as sit forth in Sec. 30. 6, subsection 1-a as <br />to 14umber of employees", results in a lesser number of parking <br />spaces than required by the application of said standard as to <br />'bquare feet of building'; the commission may permit the construc- <br />tion of the leaver number of spaces; provided, however, the addi- <br />tional area required to provide the number of spaces under the <br />'bquare feet of building" standard shall be reserved and held as <br />open area along with all required yard areas, for future construction of <br />parking spaces until the use of the building is changed to a classi- <br />fication having a greater number of employees in relation to build- <br />ing area. <br />c. Surface Improvements <br />All parking areas and driveways shall be graded and shall be <br />surfaced with asphalt, concrete, or other similar hard surface <br />as required by the regulations of the Village. Bumper guards <br />~, shall be provided to establish the limits of each parking area ex- <br />.~ cept at acceseways. <br />
