Standard and Design -Loading Facilities <br />Off-street loading facilities shall be provided whenever a building is <br />hereafter erected, altered, or occupied for a use involving the receipt <br />or distribution of maieriala or merchandise ae follows: <br />a. Space Required <br />A space or spaces, shall be provided of such dimensions as <br />to accommodate the trucks employed for loading or unloading <br />goods and equipment for the particular use. Each apace shall <br />have a vertical clearance of at least 14 feet. <br />Required loading spaces shall not be used for repairing or <br />servicing of motor vehicles, and shall not be allocated or <br />used to satisfy the space requirements for required off-street <br />parking. <br />b. Location -Design <br />Loading facilities shall not be located in a front yard or in a <br />required aide or rear yard. Off-street loading spaces shall <br />be provided with surface improvements as required for parking <br />areas. <br />3. Access to Streets <br />Access to the streets ,shall be controlled in the interest of public safety <br />and to maintain the designed capacity of the street system similar to the <br />objectives The Ohio Department of Highways has established through <br />Directive D-94, November 1661. to control access along State arterial <br />highways adjacent to freeway interchanges in unincorporated areas. <br />The developments abutting Wilson Mills Road for a distance of 1200 feet <br />from the nearest intersection of a freeway ramp shall be planned so that <br />the first access street or driveway onto Wilson Mills shall be not less <br />than 600 feet from the outermost ramp terminal right-of-way and the <br />successive access point shall be spaced at intervals not leas than 600 <br />feet on center. These objectives may be accomplished by marginal <br />service roads, parallel service a9aads, combining the access of severdl <br />developments, or other approved facilities. Whenever it is not feasible <br />to provide such facilities at the time of the original development, the ' <br />Commission may grant temporary access for use at lesser distances for <br />a limited period of time, provided the developments and future, control <br />facilities are planned so as not to cause any substantial extra coats to the <br />public or cause relocations or structures when the permanent facilities <br />are constructed: <br />.~ To carry out the above purposes and objectives oa sections of Wilson Mills <br />Road or other major streets within the area of influence but more than 1200 <br />feet from the interchange, the Commission may permit the spacing of access- <br />ways at lesser intervals but not less than 200 feet on center, if the projected <br />volume of traffic warrants more frequent spacing. <br />
